Experienced VB6 Developer with strong .NET, SQL Server and legacy enterprise application support experience required

We are seeking an experienced VB6 Developer to support, enhance and modernise business-critical enterprise applications. You will work across legacy VB6 systems and contemporary Microsoft technologies, contributing to application maintenance, defect resolution, database development, system integration and technology uplift.

Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and enhance enterprise applications using VB6 and .NET
Support Windows thick-client applications,



including WinForms UI/UX
Develop and optimise SQL Server databases, T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers and views
Build and maintain SSIS packages supporting ETL, data migration and integration
Produce technical specifications, solution designs, support documentation and deployment guides
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, testers and stakeholders
Support CI/CD and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps and Git

Essential Criteria
Strong commercial experience developing and supporting Visual Basic 6 applications, which is mandatory
Experience with .NET, C# and Windows Forms
Robust knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
Experience supporting enterprise-grade thick-client applications
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and performance-tuning skills
