A high-profile Federal Government department is looking to engage an experiencedJava Developerto join an established team.
You will support the development of critical applications and systems capability within the department.
The successfulJava Developerwill be offered aninitial12-month contractwith the view to extended for a further24 monthsand receive a rewarding hourly rate.
The successfulJava Developerwill be responsible for, but not limited to:
Be responsible for all significant system / service uplift projects
Be responsible for planning, developing, maintaining and enhancing thier systems, components and processes.
Develop the application according to business requirements and direction from the project team
Perform software design, coding, review, and testing on systems to deliver technical upgrades and/or new features or capabilities on activities
The successfulJava Developerwill have experience in the following:




Demonstrated experience in the development of business systems in Java, primarily using JEE frameworks, or equivalent (such as Spring)
Broad knowledge and experience in the configuration and use of tools required for software development; as well as experience in the setup of environments to execute Java based applications, in both Unix and Windows, using JEE containers (such as Tomcat)
Experience in using Microsoft Office or equivalent for documenting, organising information, delivering presentations and processing data.
Well organised and detail focussed, with the ability to prioritise and multi-task to meet deadlines and manage competing tasks.
