New Aim

Melbourne

Every day, sofas, treadmills, beds and garden sheds leave our Melbourne warehouses for homes right across Australia.
Getting each one there at the right cost is one of the biggest levers in our business.
We're looking for someone to own it.
About New Aim
Founded in Melbourne in ****, New Aim Ltd has grown from a single online store into one of Australia's leading technology-driven eCommerce companies.
Our products have reached more than 70% of Australian households, through 37 in-house brands such as Artiss, Devanti, Gardeon and Giselle Bedding, sold across more than 30 channels including Amazon, Bunnings, Kmart and Temple & Webster.
Our ecosystem also includes Dropshipzone, a B2B2C marketplace serving 2,000+ Australian retailers, and AirOxy, our AI analytics platform, all powered by AimCore, our in-house technology platform.
About the role
In FY26 we sold 4 million products, the vast majority of them big and bulky.
In our world, every inefficiency in delivery is amplified, and every smart decision flows straight to the bottom line.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll own the economics of how our products reach customers: what we charge for postage, what we pay our carriers, and the strategy that connects the two.
You'll work alongside our logistics and data teams, turning numbers into a clear plan and making sure it happens.
What you'll do
Own the postage P&L; end to end: what we charge customers across our 30+ sales channels, what we pay our carriers, and the margin between the two
Build and maintain a cost-to-serve model that breaks down delivery cost per order by size, weight, zone, carrier and channel, including surcharges, fuel levies and oversize fees
Design our carrier mix and allocation rules, matching every order profile, from small parcels to bulky items, to the carrier that delivers it best for the cost
Build the commercial case for carrier tenders and rate reviews: benchmark rates, model scenarios and set negotiation targets with our Logistics Manager

Review customer postage pricing and free-delivery thresholds so that what we charge reflects the true cost to serve
Define and track the KPIs that matter: blended cost per order, charge-to-cost gap, carrier mix, surcharge rate and invoice accuracy
Partner with our data team to turn your models into reliable dashboards, alerts and automated insights
Bring clear, decision-ready recommendations to the CEO, and track the savings delivered
What you'll bring
A bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Actuarial Studies, Data Science, Engineering, Physics or another Science field, or a Commerce/Business degree with a major in Finance or Economics
4+ years in strategy consulting, commercial analysis, pricing or a similar analytical role
Hands-on experience with logistics or carrier costs, such as parcel pricing, rate cards or freight cost analysis
A sharp mind for numbers: you see how figures connect and quickly spot what doesn't add up
Business ownership: you think about cost and margin like it's your own money
The ability to influence and align people you don't manage
eCommerce experience is highly regarded
