This role will see you take ownership of a large-scale national payroll function that supports thousands of employees across Australia. Reporting to the Head of Payroll, you'll play a key leadership role in ensuring our payroll operations run smoothly, accurately and compliantly, while supporting and developing a high-performing payroll team.

The Role
Lead Protech's national payroll function, ensuring accurate, compliant and efficient payroll delivery.
Manage and develop a high-performing payroll team, fostering capability, accountability and continuous improvement.
Partner with key stakeholders to provide trusted payroll expertise and support.
Drive payroll governance, compliance and risk management.
Champion process improvements and system enhancements that improve efficiency and employee experience.
Oversee key payroll reporting, audits and statutory obligations.
Contribute to strategic payroll projects and broader business initiatives.

An experienced payroll skilled with a strong track record in high-volume, complex payroll environments.
A people-focused leader able to coach, develop and empower teams.
Ability to navigate legislation, awards, EAs and compliance requirements.
A proactive problem solver who can balance operational priorities with continuous improvement opportunities.
Cooperative and commercially minded, with the ability to build credibility across all levels of the business.
Highly organised, detail-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
