An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lawyer or Associate (1-5 years PQE) to join a highly regarded Dispute Resolution team in Canberra.
Working alongside recognised leaders in the field, you will play a key role in managing complex, high-profile matters for government and commercial clients, while contributing to the continued growth of a collaborative and respected top tier practice in a National firm setting.
The Opportunity
This role offers exposure to a diverse range of sophisticated disputes and advisory matters, including:
Government-related litigation and disputes
Class actions and significant civil claims
Regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings
Complex commercial disputes involving construction, infrastructure, technology and procurement
Merits review and judicial review matters
Commissions, inquiries and investigations
Strategic dispute resolution and risk advisory work
You will have the opportunity to take ownership of matters,



build strong client relationships and further develop your profile within a supportive and high-performing team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
At least 1+ year PQE in litigation, disputes, regulatory or administrative law in a Commonwealth Government context
Experience gained within private practice, government, or a public sector legal environment
Strong analytical, drafting and problem-solving skills
Commercial acumen and sound strategic judgment
Confidence working directly with government stakeholders, senior decision-makers and clients
The ability to manage complex matters with a high degree of autonomy
A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in mentoring junior lawyers
Eligibility to obtain and maintain an AGSVA security clearance
