The Opportunity
We are seeking an exceptional Violin Tutor to join our vibrant and growing Music Program.
This position offers a rewarding opportunity to inspire young musicians and contribute to a culture of artistic excellence within a supportive and collegial department.
The role currently encompasses:
3.5 hours of private instrumental tuition per week
40 minutes of ensemble direction each week
Flexibility regarding teaching day/s is possible

Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality violin instruction to individual students and small groups
Direct the Junior School String Ensemble, supporting beginner musicians with structured and engaging rehearsals
Develop students' musicality, technical development, and disciplined practice habits
Prepare students for performances, ensemble participation,



and ongoing progression in the Music Program
Build positive and qualified relationships with students, families, and colleagues
Uphold the College's values and commitment to child safety in all interactions
About You
You will bring:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Music or Music Education
Demonstrated proficiency on violin
Experience teaching instrumental music to children and young people
Strong communication skills and a professional, collaborative approach
A current Employment Working with Children Check or VIT registration
A commitment to excellence in music education and alignment with the College's values
A collegial and supportive Music Department committed to high standards and ongoing growth
