Australia Network Services Pty Ltd requires a qualified Wall and Floor Tiler for construction work across residential properties, commercial premises and public facilities in Sydney.

You will complete tiling assignments from initial site preparation through to final sealing and inspection. The role requires someone who can follow project drawings, calculate layouts and deliver durable finishes with consistent alignment and spacing.

What the Position Involves
Examining surfaces and identifying preparation or repair requirements
Removing existing tiles and unsuitable materials when necessary
Cleaning, levelling, waterproofing and priming installation areas
Measuring work areas and calculating tile quantities and layout positions
Setting out tiles according to drawings, patterns and design specifications
Cutting and shaping tiles to fit corners, edges, pipes, fittings and openings
Preparing and applying adhesives, mortar and other fixing materials
Laying wall and floor tiles with accurate alignment, levels and spacing
Installing trims, edging and finishing components where required
Filling joints with grout and removing excess material
Applying sealants to protect tiled surfaces against moisture, staining and wear




Inspecting completed installations and correcting uneven or defective areas
Replacing broken tiles and performing re-grouting and maintenance work
Discussing layouts, finishes and practical solutions with clients and supervisors
Keeping tools, materials and work areas clean, secure and organised
Following site safety procedures and using suitable protective equipment

Experience and Qualifications

To be considered, you should have:
Certificate IV in Wall and Floor Tiling or an equivalent relevant qualification
At least two years of practical experience in wall and floor tiling
Sound knowledge of tile products, adhesives, grouts and sealants
Confidence working with ceramic, porcelain, stone or similar materials
Ability to understand project plans, measurements and technical drawings
Accurate tile-setting, cutting and finishing skills
Ability to identify installation problems and determine practical solutions
Physical fitness and the capacity to perform manual construction work
Reliable communication and the ability to coordinate with clients and other trades
