About us
The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) delivers a justice and community safety system that works to build a safer, fairer, and stronger Victoria.
The Finance and Procurement business unit provides department-wide financial, procurement and workplace services through strategic leadership and setting the direction, policy, and processes, and partnering with the department to build capability.
What you will do
As senior analyst financial governance and compliance, you will help protect public funds.
You will guide teams to follow financial rules and manage risks across the department.
You will:
lead thefinancial compliance programto help leaders spot risks and improve how they work
review and updateclear financial policies and proceduresto meet laws and government rules
coordinate financial approvals and annual checks to confirm teams meet their duties
provideclear financial advice, analysis and briefsto help senior leaders make sound decisions
deliver training, support budget planning and findpractical ways to improvefinancial processes.
About you
A relevant tertiary degree or qualification is desirable.
You will bring strong skills in financial compliance, policy development and clear communication.




You should also have:
proven experiencesetting up compliance programs that guide decisions and improve work
strong writing and speaking skills, including experience preparing clear briefs and policies
the ability to staycalm under pressureand adapt when priorities change
apractical and thoughtful approachto solving problems, working with others and leading change.
