POSITION

A Sewing Machinist is needed to join the workroom on a permanent basis, with a focus on Roman blinds.
Make Roman blinds from start to finish, including cutting, sewing, assembly and final finish.
Follow job sheets and measurements closely so every order comes out to size.
Run industrial sewing machines and handle large lengths of fabric with confidence.
Inspect your own work as you go and sign off on quality before orders are dispatched.
Help out on curtains and soft furnishings where your skills allow.




Work with the wider team to keep orders moving on schedule.

EXPERIENCE
Roman blind or curtain making experience highly regarded
Machinists from upholstery, fashion, canvas, marine or other sewing backgrounds encouraged to apply
Strong eye for detail and a high standard of finish
Comfortable working from measurements and written specs
Organised, dependable and able to work independently or in a team
