We are currently seeking a reliable and motivatedLabourer / Trades Assistantto join our Canberra-based team.
This is a hands-on role supporting our tradespeople across a range of projects throughout the ACT.
You will assist qualified tradespeople with general labouring and trade-related activities, while also being expected to complete allocated tasks independently when required.
The role would ideally suit someone who already has experience working in construction as a labourer or trades assistant.Previous experience working alongside plumbers or within the plumbing industry will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
Assisting tradespeople with day-to-day site activities
General construction and labouring duties
Moving, loading and unloading materials and equipment
Assisting with the installation and handling of pipework and plumbing materials
Site set-up, clean-up and maintaining tidy work areas




Use of basic hand and power tools
Collecting and delivering materials where required
Completing allocated tasks independently
Following site safety requirements, SWMS and company procedures
Working across various project sites throughout Canberra and the ACT
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Previous experience as alabourer or trades assistant within the construction industry
Experience working alongside qualified tradespeople
Plumbing or hydraulic services experiencehighly regarded
Ability to confidently complete basic tasks without constant supervision
Good practical and problem-solving skills
Ability to use common hand and power tools
A strong work ethic and willingness to assist wherever required
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Reliable transport and acurrent driver's licence
A strong commitment to workplace safety
Mandatory ACT Construction Qualifications
Applicants must hold the relevant qualifications required to work on construction sites in the ACT, including:
White Card
Asbestos Awareness
Silica Dust Awareness / Silica Training
