About the role
We are seeking a Branch Assistant Manager to join our Tradelink Gladstone team on a full-time basis.
Based in Gladstone QLD ****, this role is pivotal in supporting the smooth operation and success of our branch.
As Branch Assistant Manager, you will work alongside the Branch Manager to ensure excellent customer service, maintain store standards, and contribute to the achievement of branch objectives.
This position is integral to our retail operations, providing strategic support in day-to-day management and helping to drive our branch's performance and reputation in the local community.
Key responsibilities
Assist in the overall management and operation of the branch, including opening and closing procedures
Supervise and mentor staff members, ensuring they maintain high standards of customer service and product knowledge
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock rotation
Support the implementation of company policies and procedures across all branch operations
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, resolving issues in a timely manner
Contribute to sales targets and branch performance through promoting products and encouraging team engagement
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised store environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Support the Branch Manager in scheduling, training,



and staff development initiatives
Assist with merchandising, displays, and promotional activities
Manage cash handling and point-of-sale systems with accuracy and integrity
What we're looking for
Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role within the consumer products or trade sector
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members effectively
Excellent customer service focus and proven ability to handle customer interactions with professionalism
Sound knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management and stock control
Demonstrated ability to work towards and achieve sales targets
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and retail management software
A commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and compliance
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Flexibility to work full-time hours, including potential weekend and public holiday work as required
Desirable: Experience with Tradelink or similar trade retail environments
