Club Mermaid has an excellent prospect for a full-time Chef to join our team. We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic chef who takes pride in preparing quality meals and maintaining high kitchen standards.
Key responsibilities
Preparing, cooking and presenting meals to a consistently high standard
Following recipes and maintaining consistent portion sizes and presentation
Monitoring stock levels, checking deliveries and ensuring food is stored correctly
Minimising food wastage and maintaining effective stock rotation
Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and following food safety and hygiene procedures
Working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver efficient service
About you
Have relevant formal qualifications in commercial cookery
Have at least one year of relevant full-time experience in addition to formal qualifications,



or three to five years of relevant full-time employment may be considered in place of formal qualifications
Have sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe kitchen practices
Be able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen while maintaining quality and consistency
Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork and time management skills
Be available to work a flexible roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Remuneration
An annual base salary of
$75,000-$80,000, plus superannuation
, will be offered based on qualifications and experience.
