About the Role
As a Sales Agent, you will:
Generate solar and battery enquiries through prospecting, networking and referrals
Build relationships with homeowners and business owners
Learn to identify customer needs and present suitable solutions
Book and conduct customer appointments as your training progresses
Follow up enquiries and work towards completed sales?
The role combines remote work with in-person prospecting and customer appointments, depending on your sales activities. You will be responsible for generating your own customer opportunities.
Commission and Earning Potential
This is a
commission-only independent contractor role, with no base salary or hourly wage
. An ABN is required.
Indicative commissions for completed direct sales include:
Residential sales: approximately $5,000 per sale
Commercial sales:



approximately $12,000 per sale
Commission varies according to project size, profitability and your involvement in the sale. Your commission arrangement and payment conditions will be explained before you commence.
Experienced top performers achieve
$10,000 in weekly earnings
, with some earning
more than $350,000 annually
. These are exceptional results and this is how we train our professional sales agents.
Your income will depend on your activity, experience, completed sales and applicable commission agreement.
Sales Activity
Professional selling requires consistent prospecting, preparation and follow-up.
Depending on your sales focus, your activities may include:
Residential door-to-door prospecting and referral generation
Approaching businesses to identify commercial solar opportunities
Booking and conducting customer consultations
Understanding customer energy needs
Presenting solar and battery solutions
Following up proposals and progressing sales
Practising customer conversations and applying coaching feedback
A residential activity target may include
booking two appointments per day and conducting approximately 10 appointments per week
. These are activity targets, not guaranteed sales outcomes.
You will develop your ability to manage the sales process as your training and practical experience progress.
Training Through the Ryan Steffe Sales Academy

The Ryan Steffe Sales Academy provides ongoing training to support your career development and help you get a feel for the solar and battery industry and the profession of selling.




You will explore what professional sales work involves, build confidence in customer conversations and develop practical skills you can apply in the field.
Training covers:
Understanding the solar and battery industry
The responsibilities and day-to-day work of a professional sales agent
Understanding customer needs and behaviour
Communicating clearly and building trust
Prospecting, generating referrals and setting appointments
Conducting consultations and presenting solutions
Negotiation and objection handling
Goal setting, discipline and accountability
Live questions, discussion and practical business lessons
The academy follows a
structured 48-week curriculum
, with online sessions supporting continued learning and development.
Training is designed to help you build a professional approach to sales through practice, feedback and real customer experience.
