Senior Financial Accountant
Join a growing, multi-entity professional services group that is bringing finance activity across its businesses into a more centralised structure.
As Senior Financial Accountant, you'll play a hands-on role across daily cash flow, group reporting and the FY26 group audit, while helping improve how the group consolidates its financial information.
What you'll be doing
Review cash flow daily and follow up on any identified items for review
Own the month-end close across multiple entities, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations and group reporting
Help improve group consolidations by bringing Xero data into Excel and reducing reliance on manual spreadsheets
Work with the team to improve and automate the consolidation process
Support the FY26 group audit by preparing information and working with external auditors
Assist with tax and audit work, including reviewing historical transactions and preparing supporting information
Build a sound understanding of the group's finance systems, entities and reporting needs
Support and review work completed by offshore bookkeepers, helping keep reconciliations and finance tasks on track
What we're looking for
We're looking for a practical, hands-on accountant who can manage the details of daily finance and month-end while helping improve group reporting and consolidation.You'll be comfortable working across multiple entities,



taking ownership of your work and communicating clearly with the finance team and external auditors.
You'll also be ready to get involved in the details as the group prepares for its FY26 audit.
You'll bring:
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
Professional qualification in Accounting (CA/CPA)
Minimum 5 years post qualification experience, including end to end month end close and management reporting for a multi-entity group
Experience preparing group consolidations, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
Solid working knowledge of Australian tax and compliance: GST/BAS, FBT, income tax, payroll tax across multiple states, superannuation, STP and workers compensation
Experience with cash flow forecasts, budgets and reforecasts
Robust hands-on experience with Xero/MYOB, including system administration
Experience in professional or technology services, recruitment, labour hire or another service business with multiple entities would be useful.
