Tell me about this role
Amentum are seeking an experienced Program Governance Manager to support the successful delivery of a major naval infrastructure program by leading governance activities across a complex project environment.
In this role, you will establish and maintain governance frameworks, coordinate key governance forums, and ensure reporting, controls, and compliance requirements are managed effectively.
Working closely with project teams and stakeholders, you will provide the structure, oversight, and assurance needed to support informed decision-making and successful project outcomes.

What will I be doing day to day?
Perform governance activities across the program or assigned project area
Establish and maintain governance processes, procedures, and reporting requirements
Coordinate governance forums, meetings, and decision-making activities
Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, policies, and standards
Manage governance documentation, including plans, registers, actions, and decision logs
Monitor governance performance, risks, issues, and key actions
Prepare governance reports, dashboards, and briefing materials
Facilitate the escalation and resolution of governance-related issues




Support project teams to meet governance obligations and requirements
Identify and implement improvements to governance processes and practices
What sort of skills do I need?
Experience in project governance, PMO, program management, or a related discipline
Strong understanding of governance frameworks and project delivery environments
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
High attention to detail and strong administrative capabilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and governance reporting tools
Ability to analyse information and support decision-making processes
Experience managing risks, issues, actions, and governance documentation
Ability to build effective working relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
Current Australian Government Security Clearance NV1 minimum
