Everything we do is driven by a commitment to delivering practical, cutting-edge solutions that meet our customers' evolving requirements.We are seeking an experienced Electrician (Telecommunications) to join our growing field operations team.This is a hands-on role working across critical telecommunications infrastructure, with exposure to DC and AC power systems, generators, batteries, solar, HVAC and site infrastructure.About the RoleWorking across telecommunications site throughout Victoria, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault-finding and rectification of critical power and associated infrastructure.Your responsibilities will include:Installing telecommunications power systemsWorking with AC and DC electrical systems and distribution equipmentInstalling and maintaining battery systems, rectifiers and associated DC equipmentWorking with standby generators and generator control systemsInstalling and maintaining solar and hybrid power systemsWorking with HVAC and environmental control systemsIdentifying and diagnosing faultsConducting electrical testing and rectification worksPerforming site inspections, audits and condition assessmentsInstalling, upgrading and commissioning electrical equipmentLiaising with NOC teams and telecommunications carriers to resolve network issuesCompleting service documentation,



reports and compliance recordsWorking safely and independently across customer sitesWhat we're looking for:You will be an experienced electrician who enjoys working in a field-based environment and solving technical problems.Current Electrical LicenceCurrent driver's licenceCurrent LVR/CPR certificationWhite CardStrong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skillsAbility to work independently and manage your own workloadStrong communication and customer service skillsWillingness to travel to regional and remote sites as requiredHighly regarded:Experience in telecommunications and telepower systemsHVAC experience or qualifications, preferably with a Split System TicketExperience working with generatorsExperience with battery systems and DC powerExperience with solar power systemsFamiliarity with rectifiers, inverters and power monitoring systemsPrevious experience working on Telstra, NBN, TPG, Vocus or similar telecommunications infrastructureWhy Choose Decon Corporation:This isn't a traditional domestic or commercial electrical role.
