Minter Ellison's Business Systems team gets the most from the firm's investment in Elite 3E (ERP) and our other Finance and firm-specific systems and integrations.
We're looking for a Business Analyst Manager to lead a small team of functional Business Analysts and shape the quality of requirements and solution design across large projects and BAU initiatives.You'll be the bridge between business value and technical execution.
You'll oversee the analysis pipeline, allocate work and lead business analysis on major projects, from discovery and requirements through to solution design and implementation.
You'll work closely with the Head of Business Systems, Finance, and the Digital Support, Data and Development managers.What you'll doLead, coach and support a team of functional Business Analysts, allocating work and reviewing deliverablesRun requirements workshops and produce clear, complete, testable business and functional requirementsCritically evaluate solution design options to reduce complexity and make sure solutions fit the needCollaborate with developers on design and delivery, and support the test team with test data and defect analysisTurn the work pipeline into coordinated analysis and development plans, balancing capacity and sequencingCoordinate run sheets and lead the team through deployment of changesContinuously improve and automate how the team works, with a focus on agility,



consistency and clarityEmbed the responsible use of AI tools across the team and coach analysts to use them wellKeep the Head of Business Systems informed through regular status meetings and ad hoc updatesAbout youStrong expertise in complex Finance/ERP systems, including processes, integrations and dependencies (experience with Elite 3E or Aderant Expert is highly regarded)7+ years' experience in complex corporate or professional services environments, with a good grasp of commercial driversProven experience as a Business Analyst Lead on large, complex projects, including planning, estimating and schedulingSignificant experience analysing requirements and user stories and writing specifications for robust, scalable solutionsExperience working closely with both business and development teams to assess feasibility and translate knowledge between themA sound understanding of project delivery, the software development life cycle and product management principles, with exposure to waterfall, agile and hybrid approachesA data-driven mindset, including the ability to use SQL to answer basic questionsPractical experience using AI assistants to support Business Analysis work through repeatable, consistent processesWhat you'll bringExcellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levelsA proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach, and comfort with changing prioritiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the curiosity and determination to get to a complete answerInitiative, self-management and a commitment to continuous learning and applying new technologies
