You will manage quality owners responsible for a variety of areas within the game and your primary focus will be on the Game Engine, Technical Art, and Release Engineering that power VALORANT.
You will be accountable for defining and executing a comprehensive test strategy that supports multiple cross-functional development teams, while shaping and promoting the vision of quality assurance across Riot—so that, "Gamers worldwide know that every experience they have with Riot will be a quality experience."
You will also ensure the execution of all test coverage within your product space, including playtest activities, manage testing, telemetry, defect data and report regularly on product quality.
You will mentor your reports on the testing activities needed to support production within the teams you support.
You will report into Riot Sydney Studio Leadership for VALORANT.Responsibilities:Lead and manage QA professionals working across multiple teams and areas of VALORANT, with a specific focus on Foundations.Hold teams accountable for upholding quality and player impact as an essential factor in decision-makingPartner with other craft leaders to influence craft and product decisions through quality insights and risk analysisAssesses quality, risk, and complexity,



and communicates clear mitigations and priorities to development teams and leadershipCoaches and supports direct reports through complex quality challenges, representing their plans and needs with initiative leadershipPartners with other disciplines to improve development workflows and define quality bars or targets that align with initiative goalsMonitors quality health and defect trends, maintaining data-driven reporting and continuous improvement systems that inform decision-makingDrives quality feature planning and executes testing coverage plans with teamsRequired Qualifications:5+ years Quality Assurance Experience, with experience in a leadership rolePerformance test tooling and automationExperience creating test strategies for productsExperience with test design, planning and controlExperience with product development pipelines and workflowsExperience managing performance of embedded QA professionalsExperience working with remote testing teamsExperience establishing quality metrics that influence strategy and drive changeDesired Qualifications:Experience in agile work systemsExperience delivering GaaS on any platformISTQB Foundation LevelISTQB Agile Tester or ICAgile Agile Testing (ICP-TST)ISTQB Expert LevelISTQB Advanced Test ManagerExperience with Game Engine qualityExperience with software release and deployment pipeline qualityExperience testing on the Playstation 5 or Xbox Series S/XFor this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a team-oriented spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players.
