Rainbow Imports Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced and motivatedAccounts Officer / Assistant Accountantto join our growing team in Wetherill Park.This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the day-to-day finance function within a fast-growing wholesale and e-commerce business.
Working closely with management and our external accountants, you will be involved in all aspects of finance, from daily accounting operations through to month-end reporting and compliance.This position offers excellent exposure to all areas of accounting within a growing multi-state business and provides genuine opportunities for long-term career development.Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Finance OperationsProcess Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)Maintain accurate financial records in XeroReconcile bank accounts, credit cards and payment gatewaysProcess supplier payments and customer receiptsProcess weekly and fortnightly payroll, superannuation and employee entitlementsAssist with maintaining accurate inventory-related financial recordsMonth-End & ReportingAssist with month-end close proceduresPrepare monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reportsPrepare weekly cash flow forecasts and monitor business cash positionAssist with budgeting and financial reportingReconcile inventory movements and investigate discrepancies where requiredCompliance & Financial AdministrationPrepare BAS, IAS and other ATO compliance requirementsLiaise with external accountants, auditors and tax advisorsAssist with end-of-year financial reporting and audit preparationReview monthly payroll, staff reimbursements and expense claims for our overseas officeSupport continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controlsGeneralWork closely with warehouse, operations and management teamsProvide financial and administrative support to management as requiredAbout YouTo be successful in this role,



you will ideally have:Minimum3 years' experiencein an Accounts Officer, Assistant Accountant or similar accounting roleExperience working in an SME environmentTertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related disciplineStrong working knowledge of Xero and Microsoft ExcelSound understanding of Australian accounting principles, payroll and GST/BAS requirementsExcellent attention to detail and high level of accuracyStrong organisational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCPA/CA studies are advantageous but not essentialMandarin speaking is preferred but not essentialWhy Join Rainbow Imports?
