True Supportive Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver medication training and competency assessment to our disability support workforce.
This casual position offers one day per week in Cairns.
The successful applicant will be a key part of our clinical governance framework, making sure our support workers administer medication safely, confidently and in line with the NDIS Practice Standards.Key responsibilitiesDeliver medication management training to Disability Support Workers, in groups and one on oneConduct initial and ongoing medication competency assessments, including observed practice in our Supported Independent Living homesProvide guidance on dose administration aids, PRN protocols, medication charts,



documentation and high-risk medicationsReview medication-related incidents and recommend improvements to practiceContribute to the review of medication policies and procedures to support NDIS complianceWork with the leadership team on clinical governance and continuous improvementAbout youCurrent registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRADemonstrated experience in medication administration and managementStrong communication skills and the ability to train and assess adult learnersNDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain oneCurrent driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicleExperience in disability, aged care or community nursingCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE*****) or clinical education experienceKnowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards, particularly Medication ManagementExperience in mealtime management or dysphagia supportFlexible scheduling, one day per week during business hoursReimbursement of travel between sitesClinical autonomy and a meaningful role within a growing organisationA supportive, locally owned North Queensland teamAbout usTrue Supportive Care is an NDIS-registered provider delivering supports across Queensland.
