An opportunity for an experienced plumber and gas fitter to lead the plumbing division, starting with a hands‐on role on the tools.
Initially, this role will be predominantly on the tools, completing plumbing maintenance, gas servicing, safety checks, repairs and installations.
Working directly with the Managing Director and office team, you'll help improve how we scope, quote and deliver plumbing work.
As the division grows, the role will develop to include more team leadership, job planning and quality control.Key responsibilitiesComplete general plumbing maintenance, fault‐finding, repairs and installations within your licence scopeCarry out rental property gas safety checks and associated rectificationsService, diagnose and repair Type A gas appliances, including ducted heaters, space heaters, hot water systems and cooktopsInvestigate gas and water leaks and complete repairsScope jobs, prepare material requirements and assist with quotingProvide technical guidance and practical support to other team membersSet explicit expectations for workmanship, safety, communication and documentationWork with the office to plan jobs and resolve technical issuesComplete accurate job notes, photos,



test results and compliance documentationHelp recruit and develop additional plumbing staff as the division growsAbout youA current Victorian plumbing licence covering the relevant work, including gasfitting and Type A gas appliance servicingStrong practical experience in Type A servicing and appliance diagnosticsA solid background in general plumbing maintenanceThe ability to manage jobs independently, from initial diagnosis through to completionConfidence guiding apprentices and checking work qualityClear, professional communication with customers, tenants and colleaguesGood organisation and a thorough approach to reporting and complianceA current driver's licenceAbout usGen Z Trade Group is a family‐run electrical, plumbing and maintenance business based in Truganina.
