The Duke is looking for an ambitious and creative Venue Manager to lead the team, grow the business and build on its reputation as a local favourite.
The Duke is a modern British pub with traditional character, bringing together a TAB and sports bar, weekend DJs, live bands, weekly specials and a dining room offering table service.
With a major refurbishment planned for early next year - including a family-friendly beer garden, children's playground and large outdoor TV - this is an exciting opportunity to lead the venue through its next chapter and help shape its future success.
About the role
As Venue Manager, you'll take ownership of the venue's day-to-day operations, team performance, commercial results and guest experience.
You'll be responsible for:
Leading daily operations and delivering memorable guest experiences
Driving sales, profitability and financial performance
Developing sporting events, British-themed activations and live entertainment
Building strong relationships with regulars and the local community
Recruiting, coaching and developing a passionate hospitality team
Leading the team through the upcoming refurbishment
Maximising the venue's expanded offering, including the new outdoor spaces
Maintaining high standards of service, presentation, safety and compliance
Creating an environment where the team and venue can continue to grow
About you
You're an experienced hospitality leader with a creative approach, solid commercial awareness and a genuine understanding of British pub culture.
You know how to create experiences that bring people through the doors,



turn first-time guests into regulars and build a venue's reputation within the community.
You'll bring:
Proven Venue Manager or senior hospitality management experience
Confidence managing budgets, sales and financial performance
Experience in sports-led venues, live music or high-volume hospitality
Strong leadership and team development skills
The ability to lead a team through change and growth
A hands-on approach and a passion for creating great experiences
Relevant WA liquor licensing qualifications
Flexibility to work nights, weekends and public holidays
