Following the award of major rail and transport infrastructure projects, they are expanding their Brisbane team and are seeking an experienced / SeniorHigh Voltage Engineer or High Voltage Technician to support a growing portfolio of technically challenging projects.Known for delivering exceptional technical expertise, quality workmanship and outstanding customer service, our client has built an enviable reputation across the high voltage utilities, mining operations, rail, infrastructure and industrial sectors, including BESS, renewables and data centres.
With strong leadership, continued investment in technology and long-term project pipelines, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business with genuine career progression.Your OpportunityWorking within an experienced project delivery team, you will be responsible for the testing, commissioning, maintenance and fault finding of high voltage electrical assets across a broad range of customer sites.
This is a hands-on technical role offering exposure to some of Queensland's most significant infrastructure and power system projects.
Some Key ResponsibilitiesTest, maintain and commission HV and LV electrical systemsPerform secondary injection testing of protection relaysConduct primary testing of transformers,



switchgear and instrument transformersCommission new electrical infrastructure and validate system performanceDiagnose and resolve electrical faults across complex power systemsInspect electrical assets and prepare technical reportsSupport design engineers during project deliveryTravel periodically to project sites throughout Queensland and interstate when requiredAbout YouYou are passionate about power systems, have a strong understanding of Australian Electrical Standards and enjoy solving technically complex engineering challenges while delivering outstanding outcomes for customers.
You will ideally possess:Electrical Engineering Degree, Advanced Diploma or DiplomaDemonstrated experience in High Voltage Testing & CommissioningStrong experience performing secondary protection relay testingExperience using OMICRON testing equipment highly regardedExperience with the below will set you apart from the pack:Protection Relays /Instrument TransformersDifferential Protection /Distance ProtectionTransformers /Switchgear /Circuit BreakersKnowledge of IEC *****, GOOSE Messaging and SCADA SystemsWhy Join This Client?
