This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the financial accounting function, drive robust financial processes, and to lead and have the support of a small transactional finance team of 3.The roleReporting to senior finance leadership, you will oversee all aspects of financial accounting, including month-end and year-end close, general ledger management, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory reporting, taxation compliance, external audit coordination, governance and internal controls.Overseeing the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial results.Managing the general ledger, journal entries, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.Preparing and reviewing financial statements and statutory reporting requirements.Managing taxation compliance obligations, including GST,



income tax and other relevant statutory requirements.Coordinating external audits and managing relationships with external auditors and other qualified advisers.Maintaining robust financial governance, internal controls and accounting policies.Leading, mentoring and developing a team of three across transactional finance activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.Providing technical accounting guidance, reviewing work and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, systems and reporting efficiency.Partnering with internal stakeholders to support sound financial decision-making and operational performance.About youCA or CPA qualificationDemonstrated experience in a Financial Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant role, with exposure to end-to-end financial accountingExperience supervising, mentoring or leading transactional team membersStrong knowledge of month-end and year-end close, general ledger management and balance sheet reconciliations.Experience with statutory reporting, taxation compliance and external audit coordination.
