As an Osara Health Coach, you'll support people who have been diagnosed with cancer, and the people who care for them, to adopt evidence-based behaviours that improve their outcomes, such as exercise, nutrition and symptom tracking. Using empathy and accountability, you'll help participants set meaningful health goals and work towards them. You'll ask valuable questions, offer practical suggestions and tools, and help people take back a sense of control over their health. You'll guide participants through our structured programs by phone, SMS and email.Note: We are hiring immediately for Exercise Physiologists, however other health professions are encouraged to apply as we are regularly recruiting for health coaches with other backgrounds.The roles we are recruiting for will start with 2-3 days per week (9-5), with the opportunity to increase as you progress.This is a remote role, based Australia-wide.Key responsibilitiesRun program coaching calls with participants (patients and carers) covering the core elements of holistic cancer supportMake outbound calls to people with a cancer diagnosis to introduce our program and help them enrolFollow up with participants by SMS and email between calls, and schedule sessionsKeep accurate, confidential notes on participant progressRecognise when a participant needs more support and elevate or refer in line with our processesWork within a coaching scope of practice. You'll support behaviour change and wellbeing, not provide specific medical adviceTake part in team meetings and share insights that help us improve our programsAbout youRegistration as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (other health degrees are welcome to apply)At least one of the following:



1–3 years' experience working in a healthcare setting, or health coaching training or experienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build trust quickly over the phoneEmpathy, patience and compassion, with the resilience to support people through difficult timesComfort having sensitive conversationsA proactive, organised approach and the ability to manage your own workload remotelyGood judgement around privacy and confidentialityConfidence with technology and learning new tools (we use Slack and macOS; a laptop is provided)Experience in oncology or cancer support (desirable)Training in motivational interviewing or other coaching approaches (desirable)About usOsara Health's mission is to transform cancer care by helping people and organisations affected by cancer to thrive, using expertise, empathy and technology.
