Job Summary

Manila in Canberra is seeking a reliable and motivated Full-Time Cook to join our growing kitchen team. The successful candidate will assist in food preparation, cooking, stock control, and maintaining food safety standards while delivering high-quality Filipino cuisine and exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist chefs in the preparation of authentic Filipino dishes and daily specials.
- Portion, prepare and store food ingredients.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety regulations.

-Work effectively within a fast-paced kitchen setting.

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Cook or Kitchen Team Member.
- Knowledge of commercial kitchen operations.
- Experience with Filipino cuisine is highly regarded.
- Ability to work weekends, evenings and public holidays.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
