Your new role
As the Privacy Specialist, you'll play a key role in delivering a major privacy uplift program, helping to strengthen governance, manage risk and embed best-practice privacy management across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:

- Leading privacy remediation and compliance initiatives.
- Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments and identifying risk mitigation strategies.
- Reviewing and enhancing privacy policies, frameworks and procedures.
- Providing expert advice on privacy obligations and emerging risks.
- Managing privacy incidents, investigations and reporting requirements.
- Supporting privacy-by-design principles across projects and business initiatives.
- Delivering guidance, training and awareness activities to build organisational capability.
- Preparing reports and recommendations for leadership and governance forums.





What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you'll bring:

- Demonstrated experience in privacy, governance, risk, compliance or a related discipline.
- Robust knowledge of the Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles.
- Experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments and privacy risk assessments.
- A track record of developing or improving privacy frameworks, policies and compliance programs.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Excellent written communication skills, including policy development and briefing preparation.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications with public sector experience are highly regarded.
