FACILITY MANAGER | NSW SOUTH COAST, SHOALHAVEN REGION | NOT-FOR-PROFIT AGED CARE

A well-established, community-focused not-for-profit aged care provider on the NSW South Coast, around 2.5 hours from Sydney and 30 minutes from Nowra, is seeking an experienced Facility Manager to lead their residential home.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a clinical leader who wants to make a genuine difference. Lead a home with a main building, cottage-style living and a dedicated memory support unit, in a part of the coast known for beaches, bush and a relaxed pace of life. The provider is looking for a leader with a real passion for person-centred care.

The Opportunity / Main Duties

- Oversee day-to-day operations of a home of 80+ beds, including a memory support unit, ensuring strong resident relations.
- Deliver exceptional operational performance, with compliance against aged care standards, legislation and annual objectives.




- Ensure care plans and other documentation are completed thoroughly and on time.
- Identify workforce needs, including recruitment, monitoring and performance reviews, to build a high-performing team.
- Empower and mentor staff and volunteers, building a team focused on continuously improving physical, emotional and social care.
- Develop and manage the home’s budget, allocating resources effectively and cost-consciously.
- Keep communication open with residents, families, staff and external stakeholders, promoting a positive and transparent environment.

What We’re Looking For

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- A minimum of 4 to 5 years’ experience in a similar aged care leadership role.
- Commercial acumen, including operational budgets and financial management.
- Proven leadership skills in developing individuals and teams to achieve strategic outcomes.
- Sound knowledge of AN-ACC, aged care legislation and accreditation.
- Confidence with technology, including clinical management systems.
- The ability to role model continuous improvement and lead change through others.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with empathy for people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- A current Australian driver’s licence.
- Postgraduate qualifications are highly regarded.
