Our client is an established construction business undertaking a commercial building project in Drouin. An opportunity is available for an experienced and reliable Carpenter / Construction Labourer to join their team for a short-term assignment, working alongside qualified tradespeople on site.

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on individual with previous construction or labouring experience to assist with carpentry and general building activities.

This is a temporary, full time opportunity for approximately 1–2 weeks, with an immediate start available.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Assist qualified carpenters with framing, cladding and general carpentry activities.
- Load, unload and move building materials, tools and equipment.
- Undertake site preparation and general construction labouring duties.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
- Follow instructions from tradespeople and site supervisors.
- Comply with workplace health and safety procedures and site requirements.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must demonstrate:





- Previous experience in construction, carpentry assistance or general building labouring.
- A current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- A current Working with Children Check (Employee).
- A current driver's licence and reliable transport.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual handling duties.
- A strong work ethic, reliability and the ability to work effectively within a small team.
- A sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Previous experience assisting with timber framing or cladding will be highly regarded.
