About the Role

Smith & Co Recruitment is partnering with multiple established and growing civil contractors delivering a wide range of infrastructure projects across Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and regional Queensland.

We're currently seeking experienced Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers for several opportunities across local projects, FIFO arrangements and regional relocation positions. Whether you're looking to stay close to home, gain experience on larger projects or explore a regional opportunity, we have a range of positions to consider.

Projects span TMR and road upgrades, subdivisions, water infrastructure, bulk earthworks, FRP, piling, substations, utilities and major civil works. Depending on the contractor and position, you'll work alongside Project Managers, Supervisors and delivery teams to coordinate construction activities, manage project costs and drive successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate civil construction works from start to completion
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers and site resources
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, progress claims and programs




- Oversee procurement and construction schedules
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ and quality standards
- Liaise with Project Managers, Supervisors and stakeholders
- Drive project milestones and resolve delivery challenges

Skills & Experience We're Looking For:

- Experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer
- Background in civil construction or infrastructure delivery
- Experience managing subcontractors and site operations
- Strong understanding of construction methods and sequencing
- Ability to manage project costs, programs and stakeholders
- Experience across TMR, roads, subdivisions, water or bulk earthworks
- Exposure to FRP, piling, substations or utilities
- Experience delivering major infrastructure packages
