Accredited Exercise Physiologist – Contractor | 1 Day per Week | Miranda

About the opportunity

Wholistic Health Centre is seeking an Accredited Exercise Physiologist to re-establish and grow our Exercise Physiology service at our Miranda clinic.

Exercise Physiology services have been provided from this location for more than 10 years. Our previous EP left approximately six months ago, and we are now looking for the right practitioner to rebuild the service with our support.

The clinic is located within an established and busy medical centre, creating opportunities for GP communication and referrals, including Medicare, WorkCover and CTP patients.

The position will initially involve either:

- One full day per week; or

- Two half-days per week.

Days are versatile, with additional hours available as the caseload develops.

This could particularly suit an EP who is already working elsewhere and would like to add a private-practice day, or someone interested in gradually developing a larger role without immediately committing to a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct Exercise Physiology assessments and develop individualised treatment programs

- Manage musculoskeletal injuries, chronic health conditions, mobility limitations and return-to-function rehabilitation

- Treat private, Medicare, WorkCover and CTP patients within your qualifications and approvals

- Maintain appropriate clinical notes, outcome measures and treatment plans

- Complete relevant SIRA documentation and communicate with insurers where required

- Communicate with referring GPs and other treating practitioners

- Participate in appropriate multidisciplinary co-management

- Assist with reconnecting with previous patients and rebuilding awareness of the service

About you

You will have:

- Current ESSA accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist

- Current SIRA approval,



or the ability and willingness to obtain approval before treating NSW workers compensation patients

- A Medicare provider number or eligibility to obtain one

- Current professional indemnity and public liability insurance

- Current First Aid and CPR certification

- An ABN and the ability to work under a contractor arrangement

- Australian working rights

- Strong clinical communication and patient-management skills

- An interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, chronic disease management and exercise-based care

Private-practice experience is beneficial, but we are more interested in finding a capable and motivated practitioner who communicates well and would like to help develop the service.
