At Forty Winks Fyshwick we don't treat delivery as "transport". You are the face of our business: the Last Mile Specialist who turns a purchase into a great night's sleep, delivered. The last mile is the final and most critical step in our customer's journey, and we treat it, and the people who deliver it, accordingly.

We are serious about sleep, and about the people who deliver it.

We are a small, tight-knit family business serving Canberra since 1988, and we are hiring TWO MR drivers to one standard.

Both seats: MR Driver and Last Mile Specialist, $67,500 + super. A current Medium Rigid licence (manual, with no automatic-only condition) is essential for both seats. The rate buys the business full-fleet flexibility: you can be rostered to any vehicle, including our MR Pantech. HR and HC holders are very welcome. This round is for licensed heavy vehicle drivers only. If you don't hold MR or above yet, this one isn't for you, and we'd rather tell you now than waste your time.

Both seats do the same multi-skilled role. Nobody here is "just the driver". Some days you're delivering, some days you're receiving stock in the warehouse or moving furniture on the sales floor, and driving (or any particular vehicle) isn't guaranteed daily. An LO (order picker) licence is ideal, and we'll train and support the right person to get one.

Backgrounds that shine here: removals, furniture or appliance delivery, courier and multi-drop runs, tow truck and plant operators, warehousing and store logistics. LF or LO forklift tickets put you further up the queue.

A straight word about this round

We'll be honest with you, because we're going to ask the same of you. This round we are hiring for follow-through as much as for the licence. We've had people accept a seat and not turn up for it. So this ad is blunt about what the job is, the process includes a practical hour on the truck, and we'll ask you to commit to a start date and keep it. In return you'll know where you stand within 72 hours at every step, and the job on day one will be exactly the job described here.

The money, all of it

Base pay is $67,500 a year plus super for both seats. On top of that sits our FY27 Team Incentive Program, and it's worth understanding before you apply. It has two gears. The first gear is the Last Mile Team's alone: hit the three delivery standards the team controls (on time, damage free, accurate stocktake) and it pays 5% of your base every year, big store year or not. That's $3,375. The second gear belongs to the whole store: when Fyshwick beats its growth plan,



the same scheme climbs toward its 15% cap, about $9,800 in a plan year and $10,125 at the cap. Every number comes from a system of record, not an opinion. Scheme terms and eligibility apply; you join after probation, pro-rata in your first year.

Our team walks into customers' homes. That trust is earned, so we check everything: licences, driving record, references, police check, punctuality. And we keep checking after you start.

This is NOT your job if delivery feels like "just driving"; if repetitive team-lifting to 30kg (stairs included) sounds unpleasant; if early starts hurt; if "near enough" is your standard; if being measured bothers you; or if you're not sure you'd still want it in month six.

We measure what matters, openly

On-time delivery, damage rate and Google reviews are tracked, shared with the team and celebrated loudly when we win. Those same numbers pay you, through the incentive program above. High performers get recent licence classes funded (LO, HR, at our discretion) and a genuine pathway toward Team Leader. Holding and renewing the licences your seat requires stays your responsibility.

The reality of the role (is this you?)

This is a physical, hands-on role where safety and care are paramount.

• The Muscle: you are physically fit and capable of repetitive team-lifting of items up to 30kg (mattresses and furniture), stairs included. You aren't afraid of a bit of sweat.

• The Driver: a current MR licence (manual) with a safe driving record is essential. You're comfortable in a Pantech in Canberra traffic, reversing into tight driveways, and you treat the truck like it's yours.

• The Face: you are friendly, presentable and professional. You are the last person the customer sees, so you leave them smiling.

• The Safety Pro: Safety of People First, Safety of Product Second, Business Profitability Third. In that order, always.

What you will be doing

• Deliver the dream: driving our fleet to customer homes, unloading with care,



assembling furniture and leaving every home better than you found it.

• Master the warehouse and floor: receiving stock, picking and staging orders, keeping the warehouse clean, safe and organised, and supporting the sales floor with stock and display moves.

• Solve problems: using common sense to fix delivery issues on the spot so the customer is sorted.

• Care for homes and planet: protecting floors and doorways, removing old bedding where booked, and recycling packaging responsibly.

The non-negotiables

• Current MR licence or above (manual, no automatic-only condition) with a safe driving record (essential). We'll sight your licence and ask for a copy of your driving record.

• Full work rights in Australia that you hold and can maintain for the duration of employment (essential). We verify work rights via VEVO, the same way we verify everything else.

• Willingness to undergo a Police Check at our cost, now and when renewed (essential; you're entering customer homes, and we intend our customers to know that every member of this team is police-checked).

• Reliability: punctual, every shift. Customers plan their day around us. If you accept a start date, you turn up on it.

• Occasional weekend availability with notice.
