BHP Group in Perth offers a Fabrication Apprenticeship at the FutureFit Academy, with training in a workshop and classroom to read drawings, measure and mark metal, cut and shape metal, and join parts to fabricate or repair equipment.

The 2-year program leads to a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (MEM31925) and placement at a BHP mine site. Trainees work a 7 Days / 7 Off / 7 Nights / 7 Off roster on 10.5-hour shifts; not FIFO, personal transport required.
