We are partnering with a well-established Australian manufacturer specializing in high-quality plastic packaging solutions for the food and beverage industry.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an ongoing opportunity for a Machine Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Successful candidates will initially start as a Packer for the first three months, receiving on-the-job training and gaining hands-on experience with the production process before progressing into a Machine Operator role.

SHIFTS AVAILABLE & RATES

- Morning Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM | $37.48 per hour

- Night Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM | $48.72 per hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Packer - Training Period (First 3 Months)

- Pack bottles, containers, caps, and lids coming off the production line.
- Inspect finished products for defects and quality issues.
- Pack products into cartons, seal boxes, and palletise finished goods.
- Move completed pallets to designated staging areas.
- Remove excess plastic scrap and maintain a clean work area.




- Assist Machine Operators by supplying packaging materials and supporting production runs.
- Perform general production and manual handling duties as required.

Machine Operator - Upon Successful Training

- Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Assist with machine setup, adjustments, and product changeovers.
- Monitor product quality and identify any defects or inconsistencies.
- Conduct routine quality checks throughout the production process.
- Identify and report machine faults, production issues, or equipment abnormalities.
- Complete production records and quality documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and production requirements.
- Work closely with the production team to meet daily targets.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, packing, or machine operation is highly regarded.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to product quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production setting.
- Physically fit and comfortable performing manual handling tasks.
- Reliable transport to and from work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Reliable, motivated, and willing to learn new skills.
