Dans Plants is a well-established and thriving wholesale nursery located in Heatherton, Victoria. We grow and supply a wide variety of plants and decorative pots to our customers, using advanced technology and automated machinery to support our large-scale production operations.

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking person with nursery experience and ideally production line experience to join our team in a hands-on role working alongside our specialised planting machinery.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, understands the nature of nursery operations and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

This role will commence on a casual basis, 38 hours per week, with a view to ongoing, permanent employment for the right person!

About the Role

Working alongside our specialised automated planting machinery, you will help ensure plants move efficiently through the production process while maintaining quality and productivity standards.

Duties will include:

- Working alongside automated machinery as part of a busy production line.
- Feeding plants and pots through the production process and assisting with planting operations.
- Monitoring the quality and consistency of plants as they move through the line.
- Identifying and addressing minor issues to keep production running smoothly.
- Handling plants carefully and ensuring they meet our quality standards.
- Keeping the production area clean, tidy and organised.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures when working around machinery.




- Completing required documentation records for production
- Assisting with other nursery and production duties as required.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

- Have previous nursery or horticulture experience and a good understanding of plant handling.
- Have production line, manufacturing or machinery experience – highly regarded.
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, repetitive and hands-on environment.
- Have valuable attention to detail and take pride in producing quality work.
- Be reliable, punctual and hardworking, with a positive attitude.
- Be mechanically minded, with the ability to recognise when something isn't operating as it should.
- Be able to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Work well independently and as part of a team.
- Be physically fit and comfortable standing and working on your feet throughout the day.
- Have reliable transport to Heatherton, as public transport in the area is limited.
