The NSW State Emergency Service has a Planning and Research Officer role (Clerk Grade 5/6) available for adaptable NSW locations, including Wollongong. The temporary position up to 30 October 2027 offers a hybrid work arrangement with the option to work from a Zone Headquarters.

The successful candidate will contribute to evidence-based emergency management advice, risk analysis and policy development to strengthen community resilience.
