IT Support Engineer (Level 2)

Location: Cairns, Australia – Office Based Role

Overview

We're looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer (Level 2) to join our global IT team. If you're passionate about technology, enjoy solving complex technical problems, and want your work to have a lasting impact beyond the office, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

- Providing second-line technical support to staff across multiple countries and time zones, helping ensure people remain connected, secure, and productive.
- Providing technical support across Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, endpoint devices, networking, and collaboration platforms.
- Investigating and resolving escalated technical issues while delivering an exceptional support experience.
- Supporting cybersecurity, identity and access management, and endpoint compliance.
- Assisting with system upgrades, deployments, and global IT projects.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation and knowledge articles.
- Working closely with colleagues around the world to continually improve IT services.




- Mentoring junior team members and sharing knowledge across the global support team.
- Helping ensure technology remains reliable, secure, and ready to support mission operations wherever MAF serves.

- Office Based Role - Cairns, Australia.

Qualifications

- Essential: Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 4 years' experience in IT support or systems administration
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Windows environments, and endpoint management
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
- Strong spoken and written English
