QA/QC Officer – (Food Manufacturing) - Garbutt QLD

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a proactive Quality Assurance & Control Officer to join our dynamic team at one of our QLD production facility, located in Garbutt.

Reporting to the National Quality Manager, this role is crucial in ensuring that our Queensland site meets both the company’s Food Safety and Quality Standards and Objectives, and our customer expectations.

Key responsibilities include but not restricted to:

Conduct pre-operational checks, ATP testing, micro swabbing, and GMP audits to ensure food safety and hygiene standards

Inspect raw materials, packaging, and finished products to ensure quality and compliance

Monitor production processes, including recipe adherence, temperature control, and stock rotation

Complete quality documentation,



testing records, and positive release requirements

Investigate quality issues, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives

Assist with audits, training, inductions, competency assessments, and maintenance of training records

Support new product trials, sample collection, laboratory testing, and sensory evaluations

Perform additional QA duties, including fire equipment inspections, when required

To be considered for this role you will have:

Previous QA/QC experience in a food manufacturing environment

Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards

Experience with GFSI Standards (SQF preferable) and customer specific Standards

Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Self-motivated individual with a focus on quality and attention to detail.

Food Science, Food Technology, or related qualification (preferred)
