Gre8 provides a range of services in Logistics, Bakery, Employment Opportunities for SBAT’s (School Based Apprentices & Traineeships), a SLES (School Leavers Employment Service) program called Capable Me and Consulting services.

We are seeking a supportive, reliable and hands-on team member to assist students within our School-Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship (SBAT) Horticulture program.

This role is two days a week (Monday and Tuesday initially) and involves supporting young people aged 15–18 in a practical horticulture environment while assisting trainers and helping maintain a safe, positive and engaging workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Support SBATs in daily horticultural tasks such as planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, and garden maintenance.
- Assist with students engagement and behaviour guidance.
- Adapt work tasks and communication styles to suit a range of learning needs and abilities.
- Promote a safe, inclusive,



and empowering environment that encourages skill development and confidence.
- Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of training and achievements.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental, and accessibility standards.

Skills & Qualifications

- Has experience working with young people, trainees or people with additional support needs; and/or
- Has horticulture, landscaping, gardening or outdoor maintenance experience
- Is calm, approachable and able to build positive relationships
- Can work within a team workplace
- Has good communication and problem-solving skills
- Working with Children Check.
- Driver's Licence
