We are a commercial maintenance company seeking a dedicated and skilled Carpenter to join our team in Brisbane as a Commercial Handyperson. This is a full-time position based in the Greater Brisbane Region. As a Commercial Handyperson, you will be the backbone of our maintenance operations, providing essential repair, maintenance and installation services across our commercial properties and client sites. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our client's facilities remain in excellent working order, addressing issues promptly and maintaining the highest standards of workmanship. This position offers the opportunity to work independently whilst being part of a professional team committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients.

What you'll be doing

- Performing routine maintenance tasks including carpentry and general building maintenance across commercial properties
- Responding to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions
- Installing, repairing and maintaining fixtures, fittings and equipment; always something different
- Conducting preventative maintenance inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed, materials used and time spent on each job
- Liaising with clients and management to understand requirements and provide updates on progress
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant building codes and regulations
- Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order and reporting any defects or safety concerns
- Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive workplace culture

What we're looking for

- A Carpentry qualification with handyperson experience or a similar maintenance role, ideally within commercial environments




- Strong practical knowledge of general maintenance tasks
- Ability to read and interpret plans and work instructions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- A valid driver's licence.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Attention to detail and commitment to completing work to a high standard
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items and work at heights where required
- A commitment to health and safety practices and willingness to comply with all workplace policies
- Experience with commercial property maintenance is preferred
