About the role

You will advise privately owned businesses, companies and individuals including private family clients across a range of commercial matters. The role offers autonomy, close partner support and the opportunity to build trusted, long-term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including services, supply, distribution, confidentiality and shareholder agreements
- Advise on business sales and acquisitions, restructures and general corporate transactions
- Provide practical advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance and commercial risk
- Manage matters from initial instructions through to completion, with appropriate partner guidance and support, including coordinating due diligence and transaction documents
- Communicate clearly with clients,



accountants, financial advisers and other stakeholders
- Contribute to business development and the ongoing growth of the commercial practice

What we're looking for

- Admitted as an Australian legal practitioner with at least 3 years post-admission experience
- Demonstrated experience in commercial law, corporate transactions or a related practice area
- Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation skills
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and sound commercial judgement
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, practical legal advice
- Proven ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in legal documentation
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
