Metford Community Baptist Church(MCBC)isseekingapassionateandmission-minded Associate Pastor/Ministry Workertojoinourministryteamandprovideleadershiptoour Youthand Young Adultsinthegrowing Maitlandregionofthe Hunter Valley. Thisisanexcitingopportunitytohelpshapethespirituallivesofyoungpeoplewhilecontributingtothewidervisionandofourchurchasweseektoknow,love,andshare Jesus.

Workingcloselywiththe Lead Pastor,churchleadership,volunteers,andourlocal Christianschoolcommunity(Maitland Christian School),thesuccessfulapplicantwillplayasignificantroleindevelopingministriesthatreachyoungpeopleandsupportfamiliesbothwithinthechurchandthroughoutthewidercommunity.

Position Summary

The Associate Pastor/Ministry Workerservesasakeymemberofthechurch'sministryteam,helpingyouthandyoungadultsgrowinfaith,connectmeaningfullywithchurchlife,andengagewiththewidercommunity. Thisrolenurturesdiscipleshippathways,strengthensrelationshipsacrossourchurchandschoolcommunities,andsupportstheongoingdevelopmentofourafternoonservice.

Thispositionisofferedonapart-timebasis(3daysperweek). RemunerationwillbeinaccordancewithNSW&ACTBaptist; Associationguidelines,commensuratewithqualificationsandexperience.

Key Responsibilities Youth Ministry Development

- Establishandleadaregularyouthministryprogramwithinthechurchandwidercommunity.
- Buildstrongrelationshipswithyoungpeopleandtheirfamilies.




- Createopportunitiesforevangelism,discipleship,mentoring,andleadershipdevelopment.
- Encourageyouthinvolvementinworship,service,andmission.

Family Ministry

- Providepastoralcaretoyouthandyoungadults.
- Helpyouthandtheirfamiliesconnectwiththeministriesandrhythmsofchurchlife.
- Supportyouthandtheirfamiliesintheirspiritualgrowthanddiscipleship.
- Developpathwaysthatassistyouthandyoungadultsastheytransitionintodeeperengagement.
- Collaboratewiththe Lead Pastorinplanningourservices,andworkalongsidethe Kingdom Crew Leaderandvolunteerteamsservinginyouthandfamiliesministriesastheseareascontinuetodevelop.

School Engagement

- Strengthenministryconnectionswith Maitland Christian School.
- Participateinchapels,assemblies,pastoralsupport,andotherrelationalopportunities.
- Buildmeaningfulconnectionswithstudents,families,andstaffthroughintentionalengagementatschoolandparentevents.

Afternoon Service Leadership

- Leadanddevelopthechurch'safternoonservice,guidingittowardsustainablegrowthandhelpingitbecomeamoreregularservicethatsupportsconsistentattendanceamongnewpeople.
- Engageyoungadults,youth,andfamiliesthroughaccessibleandcreativeministryapproaches.
- Coordinatevolunteersandministryteamsinvolvedintheservice.

Community Engagement

- Buildrelationshipswithinthe Metfordand Maitlandcommunities.




- Identifyopportunitiesforoutreachandcommunityconnection.
- Representthechurchincommunityactivitiesandpartnershipswhereappropriate.
- Developstrategiesforengagingunchurchedfamiliesandyoungpeoplewiththegospel.

Desirableskillsandexperience

- Arecognisedtheologicalqualification
- Previousexperienceinyouth,youngadults,family,school,orpastoralministry.
- Experienceworkingwithvolunteersandministryteams.
- Understandingof Baptistchurchlifeandgovernance.
