We are looking for a passionate Casual Cook to join our team at Best Western Olde Maritime, 110 Merri Street, Warrnambool, VIC — a well-established property at the western end of the Excellent Ocean Road, beside Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village. You’ll be working in the kitchen of the recently refurbished Clovelly Restaurant &

- Bar, open seven days for breakfast and dinner and consistently rated among Warrnambool’s top restaurants.

Role overview The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to recipes and customer requests, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation and safety. Reporting to the Head Chef, this role suits someone with a passion for cooking, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.

Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring high quality and consistency
- Assist in food preparation, such as chopping vegetables, preparing meats and making sauces
- Follow recipes and learn different cooking techniques
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning workstations and meeting food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist with receiving deliveries, inventory management, and organising and rotating stock
- Assist in plating and presenting dishes according to the Head Chef’s instructions
