Whether you're a newly registered pharmacist, currently working in community pharmacy and looking for greater clinical exposure, or an experienced hospital pharmacist seeking a sea change, this role offers the opportunity to develop valuable skills while making a meaningful impact on patient care. What You’ll Do In this role, you'll work closely with doctors, nurses and multidisciplinary teams to optimise medication management and support positive patient outcomes. You'll gain exposure to a diverse range of clinical specialties while developing practical hospital pharmacy skills in a supportive workplace.

Occasionally, you may be required to work at Slade Pharmacy Kempsey, located within Kempsey District Hospital,



approximately a 42-minute drive from Port Macquarie Base Hospital.

Key responsibilities include

- Conducting medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
- Dispensing and supplying medication and pharmacy products
- Coordinating patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
- Supporting patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
- Educating and advising staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the quality use of medicines

What You’ll Bring We’re looking for pharmacists who thrive in a collaborative clinical environment and bring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine patient-centred approach to care. We’re building a well-rounded and supportive team.

Experience in oncology is highly regarded, but not essential. Newly registered Pharmacists are welcome to apply as comprehensive training and ongoing mentorship will be provided by our experienced team to support your growth and success.

Essential requirements

- Current general AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist, with no restrictions on practice.
- Permanent Australian working rights.
- Personal Indemnity insurance.

Desirable skills & experience:
- We’re especially keen to hear from candidates with oncology experience, though full training will be provided for the right candidate.
