Role Description This is a full-time Electrical Engineer role based in Perth, WA, offered on a hybrid basis with a mix of office and work-from-home arrangements.

The Electrical

Engineer will support the design and delivery of utility-scale and commercial solar PV projects, including detailed electrical design for power distribution and grid-connected power systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations; assisting with network connection applications; and ensuring designs comply with relevant standards, codes,



and safety requirements. The role involves collaborating with project managers, civil and mechanical engineers, contractors, and clients to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance.

The Electrical

Engineer will also support construction and commissioning activities, contribute to troubleshooting and maintenance planning, and assist in integrating emerging PV and energy storage technologies into project designs.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Engineering and a solid understanding of Electricity fundamentals.
- Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design and Power Distribution for solar PV and related infrastructure.
- Candidates should possess skills in Power Systems, including grid connection, protection coordination, and system performance analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline; eligibility for or membership in a relevant engineering professional body is beneficial.
- Experience in renewable energy projects, particularly solar PV and energy storage, and familiarity with Australian standards and network requirements (e.g., SAPN or similar) are advantageous.
- Proficiency with electrical design and modeling tools (such as AutoCAD, PV design software, or power system analysis packages) and solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
