Metta Medical Centre is seeking a friendly, professional and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our growing team at Karrinyup Shopping Centre.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of our medical centre.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Welcoming patients and providing friendly, professional customer service.

- Managing appointments, telephone enquiries and patient bookings.

- Handling patient registrations, Medicare claims and payments.

- Maintaining accurate patient records and updating information in our practice management system.

- Liaising with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.

- Managing incoming correspondence, referrals and administrative tasks.

- Supporting the day-to-day operations of the reception and waiting areas.

- Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with privacy requirements.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

- Friendly, approachable and genuinely enjoys helping people.

- An excellent communicator with a professional telephone manner.

- Highly organised,



reliable and able to multitask in a busy environment.

- Comfortable using computers and learning current software.

- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

- Compassionate, patient-focused and respectful of patient confidentiality.

Previous medical reception or general practice experience is highly regarded. Experience with Best Practice software, Medicare billing and private health fund claiming will be an advantage. However, candidates with robust customer service and administrative skills who are willing to learn are also encouraged to apply.
