Assistant Store Manager | Port Macquarie NSW | Full-time Permanent | $67,000 + Super
Our client is one of Australia's leading national specialty retailers, with hundreds of stores across the country and a robust reputation for expert advice, great service and a high-energy, people-first culture. They are now looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join their Port Macquarie store.
About the role
Reporting to the Store Manager, you will help lead the team, deliver outstanding customer service and run an efficient, well-presented store. You will make sure merchandising, inventory, financial and people processes are in place, and you will take full responsibility for store operations when the Store Manager is away.
Key responsibilities include:

- Delivering excellent service to every customer
- Managing day-to-day store operations
- Keeping the store's presentation and organisation to a high standard
- Inventory control and loss prevention across incoming, outgoing and on-hand stock
- Driving store profitability using KPI and sales data
- Coaching and training the team for performance and progression
- Leading by example and living the company's values





This is a full-time role requiring flexible availability across weeknights, weekends and public holidays.
About you

- A demonstrated record of personal sales and KPI success
- Experience leading, motivating and developing retail staff
- The ability to coach a team to hit KPI and sales targets
- A real focus on customer service
- Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to plan, prioritise and delegate to meet standards and deadlines
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and excellent merchandising skills
