About the Role

A trusted and established Registered NDIS Provider operating across Victoria, Queensland and Tasmania is seeking a strong, experienced and highly motivated SIL House Team Leader for a male-only Supported Independent Living (SIL) household in Townsville.

We are looking for a confident, hands-on leader who can motivate staff, positively engage participants, maintain high standards of care and take full responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the SIL house.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, motivate, supervise and manage a team of Disability Support Workers.

- Oversee daily SIL operations, ensuring participant safety, wellbeing, dignity and quality of care.

- Manage staff rostering, attendance, performance and accountability.

- Maintain high standards of household cleanliness, hygiene, food safety and medication management.

- Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, participant support plans, incident reporting and documentation requirements.





- Build positive relationships with participants, families, Support Coordinators and other stakeholders.

- Proactively resolve operational issues and maintain a skilled, supportive and well-organised SIL environment.

- Take ownership of house operations, escalating significant matters to management when required.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum Certificate IV or Diploma in Disability or Individual Support (Disability), or equivalent relevant qualification.

- 3–4 years of demonstrated experience in SIL Team Leadership or a comparable supervisory role.

- Strong leadership, communication, staff management and problem-solving skills.

- Experience supporting participants with complex needs and behaviours of concern.

- Sound knowledge of NDIS compliance, safeguarding and person-centred support.

- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative and maintain operational accountability.

- Availability to work fixed Monday-to-Friday morning/day shifts (38 hours per week).
