We're partnering with a leading consulting organisation delivering a major data transformation program for a prominent banking client and are seeking multiple Ab Initio Engineers with strong Kafka and streaming expertise.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise-scale data platforms, real-time event streaming solutions, and modern integration architectures within a complex banking environment.

The Role As an Ab Initio Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and supporting high-volume data integration and streaming solutions. Working alongside architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders, you'll help deliver scalable, resilient, and performant data pipelines that underpin critical business capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop Ab Initio-based data integration solutions.

Build and support real-time streaming and event-driven architectures.

Develop and optimise Kafka-based data pipelines and messaging solutions.

Design, build, and support large-scale ETL and data transformation processes.

Collaborate with architects, engineering teams, and client stakeholders.





Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and data quality issues.

Contribute to solution design, technical documentation, and best practices.

Support delivery within Agile project environments.

Skills & Experience We're looking for professionals with:

Strong commercial experience developing with

Ab Initio .

Hands‑on experience with

Apache Kafka

and streaming technologies.

Experience building real-time data integration solutions.

Strong understanding of enterprise data architectures and ETL frameworks.

Experience working within large-scale enterprise environments.

Robust stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Banking or financial services experience highly regarded.
