We are a small but busy general practice in Picnic Point, currently seeking a Practice Nurse to work a minimum of 3 days per week. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with our General Practitioners and administrative team to provide high-quality nursing care, support preventative health services and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.

What you’ll be doing:

· Perform immunisations and vaccinations in accordance with current guidelines.

· Conduct wound care/assessments and dressing changes.

· Perform health assessments and assist with chronic disease management plans.

· Assist with procedures performed by General Practitioners.

· Perform ECGs, spirometry and other clinical procedures where trained and competent.

· Administer medications and injections as authorised.

· Support cervical screening and other screening programs within the nurse’s scope of practice and training.

· Assist with iron infusions and other treatments only where appropriately trained.

· Manage patient recalls and reminders.

· Monitor and maintain emergency equipment, clinical supplies, vaccine supplies, infection prevention & control and Cold Chain Management.





· Occasional home visits to local, elderly patients for BP checks, wound care, etc.

What we are looking for:

· Current AHPRA Registered Nurse registration

· General Practice nursing experience is preferred

· Excellent clinical and patient care skills

· Friendly, compassionate and skilled

· Reliable, proactive and highly organised

· Confident working within a busy team environment

· Knowledge of Medicare item numbers and General Practice software (Best Practice) is an advantage.

Our clinic hours are 9am-5pm weekdays and we are looking for someone to work a minimum of 3 days per week.

Pay: $40.00 – $48.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 22.5 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Picnic Point NSW 2213: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

- Registered nurse: 1 year (Preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- AHPRA registration (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Driver Licence (Preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (Preferred)
